Press Release: The Grand Opening of j27 Gallery Hits the Ground Running With Master Artists and Great Location

(SACRAMENTO, CA) - The corner of J and 28th has been known for great food, outstanding music, fabulous cocktails and cool pool cues, now you can add to the mix a new and ultra hip fine art gallery, j27 Gallery. The gallery bursts onto the scene with an amazing art experience for collectors, enthusiasts and hipsters.

"We wanted to create a hip, fun place for artists to exhibit and art lovers and others to experience and buy art." said Susan Rabinovitz Partner of j27 Gallery and Executive Director of Sacramento Artists Council, Inc.

j27 Gallery is already a magnet for prestigious master artists as its feature exhibitor. Renowned Gayle Rappaport-Weiland is j27 Gallery's first featured artist. Award winning master artist, instructor, newly appointed board member of CCAS California Contemporary Arts of Sacramento and past KVIE art juror Gayle brings much credibility and clout to the gallery's opening and first show.

June 9th (6-9), Art Premiere Thursday (soft opening) will kick-off "Sierra Explosion" by Gayle Rappaport-Weiland conversations and viewings with the master herself as well as host Harp and Flute music by Music a Due. Known for her organic colors and impressionism, Gayle's abstracts have a touch of whimsy and eye-catching sophistication. In addition, art collectors love her floral pieces and novices learn that one may personalize a still life with the slightest nuance to a leaf. As a student, Gayle studied in New York and is now considered a master of acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. KVIE repeatedly requests Gayle's expertise as part of their art auction steering committee as well as an on-air spokesperson to the public regarding the donated artwork and artists' technique.

Innovative partners Susan Rabinovitz and Michael Shane, former residents of the Sacramento Art Complex wanted to expand their highly successful and growing art businesses to create a hip and exciting art venue. The new gallery will feature fine art from local and regional masters and artists, one of a kind hand forged jewelry and unique hand crafted gifts. Each month j27 Gallery will host a variety of events including each third Saturday to experience art for all ages (children encouraged to visit). Grand opening reception is Friday June 10th 6-9.

Located at 2728 J Street, Suite C a former restaurant site, j27 Gallery was permitted to renovate the space into a high end art gallery. Large equipment removal and massive maintenance was required before the partners could start the renovation. The newly created j27 Gallery explodes with fun, energy and creativity.
